Aleksei archer is an American model and actress born in New York City is known for her dramatic performance as well as her versatility. That very same year she was offered a job as an entry-level chef at the restaurant An American Place for one year. Guarnaschelli started her cooking career before that time, having her mother test recipes while she rewrote cookbooks at her home. She worked under Larry Forgione and then at several restaurants in New York France and Los Angeles including Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. Her final position was as chef in charge at Butter. Guarnaschelli was a contestant in 2007's Farmers Market Battle, a segment of Food Network's Iron Chef America, where she took on Cat Cora. In 2011, she competed in the third place of the season to the winner of The Next Iron Chef, and has also served as on the panel for the show ever since. She also competed on an episode of the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast but lost. After the fourth season, she became Geoffrey Zakarian's sous-chef. In 2008, she became host of the Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli where she mentors an intimate group of students and guides them in how to reimagine classic meals.
